Baptism
The communal celebration of Baptism is held at 11:30 AM on the first
Saturday of the month. Attendance at the Baptism Seminar is required for parents
three to four months prior to the celebration of the Sacrament. The
Baptism Seminar
is the last Thursday of the Month at 7:00PM in the Saltillo Room. This seminar call
to mind the responsibility we have in the Christian upbringing of our children. It helps
to deepen our own faith and recommit ourselves to Christ. Please call the
Parish Office before attending the seminar to register. |

Matrimony
Arrangements should be made to meet with your parish priest at least
FOUR months prior to the wedding date. According to Diocesan regulations and for
the personal benefit of the engaged couple, participation in the following
preparations programs is required. |

Engaged Encounter:
This weekend retreat is designed to deepen and enrich the couple's relationship. or
Marriage Preparation Day:
Pre-Cana instructions in many different areas of married life is offered by our Diocesan
Family Ministry Office on announced Sundays from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
and
FOCCUS: Couples are
assigned to a host couple and must complete FOCCUS preparation material.

Religious
Education Programs
Provide for the religious education of all parish members, aiming to
enrich the faith life of individuals at their particular stage of development.
| Reconciliation:
Prepares the 2nd grade students to receive the forgiveness and peace of Christ. |
| First Eucharist:
Prepares the 2nd grade students to recieve the Body and Blood of Christ. |
| Confirmation:
Prepares the 10th grade students or above, who freely choose to receive the Holy Spirit.
Each candidate must fulfill certain academic requirements, be interviewed and complete
eight hours of service of family, community and parish. |
| R.C.I.A.: Program stands for the Rite
of Christian Initiation for Adults. It is designed for those who would like to know more
about the Catholic Faith. |

Retreats
| Diocesan Retreats:
Various types of retreats are available throughout the year at our own Diocesan retreat
center call LUMEN CHRISTI. If you would like assistance in arranging a retreat, please
call the Family Life Center. |
| Parish Retreats: During
the season of Advent and Lent, a retreat is held for men and women. Each consists of
talks, prayer and sharing, ending with Mass. |
| Confirmation Retreats:
Our confirmation candidates are treated to retreat experiences during their preparation
for the sacrament. |
| Marriage Encounter: How
is your marriage? Spend a 44 hour communication weekend to enrich your marriage. This
program is not for troubled marriages. |
| Cursillo Movement: This
is a renewal effort designed to call forth the laity to help change the environment for
Christ. Becoming involved begins with a Cursillo Weekend from a Thursday evening to Sunday
evening. The weekly follow-up is called "Ultreya". Here we pray, share and
support one another. |

Holy
Rosary School
| Our parish school is based on the rich Catholic Christian
Educational tradition. Classes include our Pre-Kindergarten program to the
7th grade. Our
two-fold goal is Academic Excellence and Fostering Souls for Christ. |

Ministry
Opportunities
Altar Servers: Assist
the priest in celebrating community with various tasks as needed. Boys and girls in grades
3 - 12 are welcome to join.

Children's Liturgy:
Help our young people ages 3 - 10
understand the Sunday readings at the 10:00 AM Mass.

| Commentators: Make
formal introductions at the Liturgy, lead some of the prayers and gives directions to the
celebrating community when necessary. For more information contact

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharistic: Assist with the distribution of holy communion at the Liturgy. These
ministers are selected carefully and commissioned at the regular Sunday Mass. Chosen at
the discretion of the Pastor and the Bishop.

| Lectors: Those who
have the gift of proclaiming the Word of God at the Eucharist. For more

Music Ministers:
Choirs, organists, guitarists and song leaders enrich our various liturgies with their
musical gifts and also minister to the celebrating community and deepen their
participation.

Ushers: Assist in
service of seating people, receiving offerings and doing other tasks to provide for the
smooth flow of the service.
