 First Quarter
 S.L.- wins the toss and elects to receive. Return to SL 39yd line. Three plays net 6yds to SL 45yd line setting up 4th and 4. SL punts 47 yards; ball downed on the W 8yd line.
 W   - Running plays by Jerry Keen and John Wayne Williams move the ball to a first down at the W 18yd line. on first down W fumbles, but recovers at the W 13yd line. on second down W dropped for loss behind the line at 10yd line. on third down Adams completes pass to Greg Wagoner at the 24yd line, 4 yds. short of first down. W punts; ball downed on the S.L. 46yd line.
 S.L.- short gains on first and second down move ball to near mid-field. Dwayne Galjour is dropped for loss on third down by Randy Strickland, setting up 4th and 31 at the SL 25yd line.  SL punts; ball downed at the W 44yd line.
 W   - pick up first down in a short drive, but on the fourth play of the drive Kenneth LeBlanc intercepted a Steve Adam’s pass. Ball returned to W 47yd line.
 S.L.- Galjour’s pass is intercepted by John C. Jones, when he was hit by Randy Strickland as he was throwing. Ball downed at W 31yd line.

Second Quarter

 S.L.- picks up first down on two running plays. held on downs, as Galjour is caught by Bill Stewart and Claude Smart on a sweep. SL punts; ball downed on W 38yd line.
 W   - pick up three yards, to the W 41yd line on first down. On second and seven, Jerry Keen breaks for nine yards to midfield, but fumbles, ball recovered by Randy Doucet(SL) at the 50 yd line.
 S.L.- drives to W 15, mainly on running of Mark Bouzigard.  Galjour fumbles, ball recovered by Randy Parker(W) at W 19.
 W   - three plays net 6 yds. to W 25yd line. Adams punts 31yds to SL 44yd line ; ball returned 9yds to W 45yd line. (Less than 2:00 in half)
 S.L.- three plays, two of them passes, move ball to the W 2yd line; only 00:20 left in the half. SL penalized for delay of game, moving ball back to the W 7yd line. SL Danny Foret attempts and makes 23yd field goal with 00:07 left in half.

 Fourth quarter
 W   -  receives kickoff, ball downed at W 25yd line. Adams passes incomplete on first and second down, setting a 3rd and ten. Jerry Keen broke up the middle for 12yds picking up first down at W 37yd line. On first down, Adams completes 19yd pass to Alan Carter SL 44yd line. The first and second down plays net short yardage. On third and long,  SL penalized for pass interference, ball on SL 34yd line. two plays net short yardage to SL 32yd line. on third down and 8 Adams scrambles and passes into the end zone.  Pass is incomplete, off fingers of John C. Jones attempting a diving catch. on fourth down halfback pass by Alan Carter is incomplete with 8:37 showing on the clock.
 S.L.- converts two first downs, coupled with penalty against W moving ball to W 25yd line. held on downs, with fourth down play being a behind the line sack moving ball back to W 41yd line.
 W   - Takes over with 3:30 to go in the game. Adams completes 23 yd. pass to John Wayne Williams, moving ball to SL 36yd line. SL penalized for pass interference, ball on SL 23yd line, 02:11 left in the game. on first down W passes, ball bounces off Greg Wagoner’s hands and is intercepted at SL 7yd line by Jack Dantin. 1:54 remaining on the clock.
